Freddy Snijder, Internet Innovation Creative and Founder of Visionscapers

Hi, there! Nice to meet you! Allow me to tell you something about myself. I’m Freddy Snijder and I’ve founded Visionscapers to help companies grow and innovate their business by 1) leveraging the Internet: providing advice, insights and creative solutions 2) envisioning and developing new Internet innovations.

I’m a technologist and creative thinker passionate about understanding the impact and opportunities of the ever-evolving web, thinking of how to use the Internet in new ways and in new context, setting up new ventures (e.g. offerfindconnect.com) and creating web graphic- & user interaction designs. I’m also especially interested in how the Internet can help innovate how we innovate.

There were many reasons for me to initiate web2society. For instance, I needed a good spot to react to developments on the web and write about web trends and innovative startups. But, more importantly, I initiated it as a platform to meet you, to discuss the evolving web, share ideas, possibly co-author posts and maybe even do business together.

Before founding Visionscapers I have worked for more then 9 years at Philips Research, where I conducted research on new concepts, applications and technologies for consumer electronics. This is also where I started to actively follow web trends, contemplate their impact and develop new service and web-enabled product concepts.

I earned my M.Sc. in Electrotechnical Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 1998. I (co-)invented 18 inventions, filed as 33 WO, EP and/or US patent applications. To date 2 US and 1 EP patents were awarded. You can find a list of my US patent applications and awarded patents here.
